My Journey to Regaining Confidence
at 9:58 am on Saturday, 10 October 2009
My hair loss treatment journey began the day I started to notice my receding hair line and my bald spot becoming bigger. The most apparent thing to do was to find ways to comb my hair to hide my bald spot. I began to wear more and more hats on the weekends as I went out with my wife, acquaintances or family. Of course at work I could not wear caps so it was an unpleasant experience each morning for me just to walk in the office. Your mind will do that to you when you are going through hair loss. It is so true that you never know what you have until you lose it. That can be true about your hair loss.
Having suffered from hair loss, I began to appreciate every strand of hair that I had left. It was as if with each individual hair I lost, so was a small part of my confidence gone as well. I was not alone, a friend of mine had been suffering from the same problem as me. Yet lately he appeared so much more relaxed and I observed that it was as if his hair was growing back. I didn’t wanted to bring it up but after a while I decided to ask. That is when he told me about Advanced Hair Studio. With just a few visits my friend Tom had not only regrown his hair, but his confidence as well. After speaking to Josh and understanding what Advanced Hair has done for him, I took the courage to make an appointment for a free hair check.
I was a little cynical at first. But outcomes were evident within a few weeks. Not only on my head, but in my behavior. I began to lose the caps on the weekends and I quickly started to feel better about myself. My wife who has been unhappy about my lack of interest in our relationship began to notice the change in that department as well. It is amazing how just a few consultations to the Advanced Hair Studio had begun to change my life as a whole. I always felt as if the first thing people observed about me was my bald spot. Now, I am not terrified to look people in the eyes again as I have my full set of self esteem back.
Advance Hair Studio has not only given me back my hair little by little, but a big piece of my confidence as well. So, if anyone is going through hair loss I highly recommend them. Don’t let baldness take your self-confidence away.

Coping with Your Monthly Budget
A lot of people frequently get stressed out about their monthly budget, not handling your budget can can place you in to further in debt if you are not cautious. Managing your budget the right way has many gains including saving you money and help relief some of your tension over debt. Always keep in mind that a budget is primarily a program for your monthly spending. A budget, like any program, involves some level of management to achieve a successful outcome. The manner I oversee my budget, for instance, is by focussing on keeping information coordinated and controlling my expenditure.
My first focus is on organizing the info in my budget. I keep track of recurring expenses like utilities, auto and loan repayments, insurance, and the like, for example. I can very easily lose track of my spending without preparing my budget. By being conscious of what expenses repeat every month, I have an instant hold on the minimum amount of money I have to put aside each month before I spend on other things I can monitor a little more such as entertainment, apparel, and vacations.
To make a financial progression, I make sure that I monitor my spending tightly in my budget. A good measure of progression is putting money into a savings instrument or paying down debt. However, if I over spend, the opposite is true because instead of saving money I will use debt to help me cover the monthly expenses in my budget. Distinctly, giving in to the stresses of budgeting can have expensive consequences for my finances, specially if I am not capable to pay down my debt.
There are two benefits for controlling and organising my budget: First, I save money by avoiding unnecessary expenditure. Second, my finances are targeted at attaining financial goals. Basically, by not buying things I do not need, I am actually freeing up money that I can either use for something else or save. The spare money can also be useful in paying off debt or saving it for a vacation. In addition to having extra money, it will also allow me to establish longer term financial goals like saving and investing for retirement or paying off my mortgage or student loans. With my budget being organised and moderated, not only does my financial position become more secure but successfully managing my budget reduces the stress that often comes with being in debt.

Own it! Lace Front Wigs Restore Confidence
at 10:19 am on Thursday, 4 June 2009
Shopping for womens wigs online may not be anything to dread. Take it from me, as a youthful woman blessed with the tough luck of hair loss. I maintain my look because only my dear friends know I discreetly and naturally enhance my look with a couple well-done lace wigs that I value dearly. I can assure you, it won’t take long to discover your hidden spirit with the natural style and feel of professionally constructed human hair wigs. Believe me, quality wigs make a difference for millions of ladies who depend on them.
Maybe a lot of you have expressed the same concerns that I went through. “How much do they cost?” along with “Will my scalp breathe underneath it?” were my panic-driven concerns, most definitely. These knee jerk reactions have only a bit of truth when you take a deep breath and understand how many fantastic and attractive selections are out there. Wigs for womens hair loss with human hair, empower women of all types with confidence. Its not anything to dwell endlessly in! People never marvel at a well done wig. This is due to the fact that most never even know it from a person’s actual hair.
I’ll offer the essential wig selection basics you can benefit from. It’s no contest the most realisitc wigs are human hair wigs. Wigs styled from human hair are roughly 2 to 3 times more valuable when up against fake wigs with good reason. They may be 300% more comfortable! I always sing their praises. But on a budget, synthesized hair can be a good option and worthy of your confidence.
Personally, I like real, human lace front wigs for a couple different traits. They won’t be damaged by heat like synthetics and they feel better. Not to mention, my children are more comfortable with it.
It’s your call, but take your time to find a wig that does your image justice, so you will feel confident in it. You will look great, and even better, be confident with it on. No different than for any hair style, your choice of wig enhances your unique humanity.

Always Keeping My Spanish Language Active
at 12:30 am on Monday, 26 January 2009
by Neal Walters
My first foreign language in school was Latin – a great
language to prepare you for any university. But then we
moved, and the only language offered was Spanish. I found
Spanish more fun, because people in West Texas actually
spoke it, where as Latin was mostly just reading and
learning complex grammar.
I talk to people all the time that took a language in
high-school, but they still graduate without being able to
speak the language. Often, a person can read and write the
language, but cannot teach it. Our teacher emphasized
conversation and actually speaking the language.
During high school, I had two labor-type jobs, so I got to
work with several Spanish speakers. I can’t repeat many of
the “colorful metaphors” that I learned, but it was a good
experience. It actually did help reinforce what I was
learning in school.
At the end of my junior year in high-school, I went on the
Spanish Club’s trip to Mexico. Travelling to a
Spanish-speaking country is obviously a great way to boost
your skills. I created an audio-scrapbook for the trip, and
got 3 hours of transferrable college credit from a junior
college.
I also discovered CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
tests, and took the Spanish exams. My university awared me
14 hours of credit just for my Spanish! I went to college
already having 17 credits (plus even more for math and
science exams).
During my Bachelor’s in Business, I took three more Spanish
classes. One was in Spanish conversation, and the other two
were Spanish literature, where the teacher spoke in Spanish,
we took notes in Spanish, and of course the tests were in
Spanish.
Then, back in the early 1980s, I tried some French,
Portuguese, and Hebrew, using the Pimsleur system. After
trying other courses that didn’t work, I was very impressed
with how easy Pimsleur was. I made two trips to Brazil, in
which I was able to “convert” my Spanish into Portuguese by
learning a few additional words.
In 1995, I was a consultant and got a job offer in San
Juan, Puerto Rico. Being single and living by yourself is
not the optimal way to learn more Spanish. But on the job, I
was able to put a lot of Spanish to use, even though it
wasn’t a requirement.
After studying a few more languages, I have learned what
works and what doesn’t. I decided to create my own Spanish
online learning community. We have several native Spanish
speakers supporting our forum and creating short lessons.

The “P” Word… Procrastination
at 9:42 am on Friday, 13 June 2008
A problem many of us are familiar with. Its showing up in your work environment interfering with your daily life….and peace of mind.
What does procrastination look like? Clutter on your desktop, over-stuffed filing cabinets, chaotic digital files, not getting to work on your priorities and failing to make deadlines to name just a few. The outcome? More stress, anxiety and frustration about what ‘wasn’t done’. Reduced efficiencies. Wasted time. Fewer productivity gains. Simply put, delaying decisions is a deal breaker when it comes to personal performance and satisfaction…particularly in the workplace.
You’re probably thinking that there are many reasons we procrastinate and you’re right. And none of them are going to make a difference if you really want to overcome this roadblock. Here’s how to begin shifting this paradigm:
Have you vision and ownership of your goals? A key point. Without the vision it’s hard to remain focused on priorities and execution. You also need to write down your goals. Make them measurable, relevant and timelined in a way that helps you stay accountable to yourself.
What types of things do you procrastinate about? Most of us probably procrastinate to some degree about something. Even Professional Organizers. Years ago I began recognizing specific areas in which I was a procrastinator. I started using a timer to get me to take action within a certain period of time. It got me through the task and eventually these actions became a habit. Changing a negative habit to a positive one is the key. Take a minute to think about specific areas in your life where you might be delaying decisions. List a variety of methods that can help you work through that…and don’t forget to include some rewards along the way.
Who can help? One thing that helps us get through change is support from family, friends and co-workers. If you want to change your behavior, identify one area or topic in which you know you procrastinate, list the action steps you can take overcome this hurdle and then share your goal with someone. I call them an ‘accountability coach’. Call this person for encouragement when you feel yourself slipping. Find someone who can help and offer to do something in exchange for them.
Start now. Take action. Because it’s all about your actions…and not just your intentions. Remember…thoughts become words…words become actions…actions turn into habits…habits develop character…and your character is your destiny.

INDIVIDUALIZED POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS FOR IMPROVING SELF-ESTEEM
at 9:26 am on Friday, 13 June 2008
Positive self-esteem is very important if not crucial to our happiness and well being as a human being. Having positive self-esteem can make the difference in that which we take on in life, in that which we go about achieving and creating. Having positive self- esteem also allows us to have healthy and joyous relationships with others, to experience true intimacy. One could also assert that having positive self-esteem gives us access to genuine spirituality. Poor self-esteem, on the other hand, creates the space for us to experience a great deal of negativity in life including depression, anxiety, fear, stress and loneliness. Negative or poor self-esteem is also highly correlated with alcohol and drug dependency. Some even believe that a negative or poor self-image is the source of such addictions.
While it appears that the importance of positive self-esteem is somewhat understood, the unanswered question has always been about how to improve or enhance a person’s self-esteem. Some belief that a person’s self-esteem rests upon them being successful, in accomplishing that which they take on in life, of achieving goals that they have set for themselves. As a result much effort is put into assisting others in effectively and efficiently planning their doing in life. Others believe that our sense of self-esteem is determined by the type of relationships that we have, that by surrounding ourselves with positive people who will appreciate and acknowledge us that our esteem will be positively impacted. To this end training is given to help a person improve his interpersonal skills, how he communicates and relates with others. While both of these endeavors are important, it is not the having or doing that creates positive self-esteem. Ones self-esteem is not given or to be obtained from without, external to the person.
One very effective way to improve self-esteem is through the use of positive affirmations. Positive affirmations are very powerful for transforming how a person feels and thinks about himself, ultimately influencing how he views and acts within the world and towards others. The fundamental reason why positive affirmations are so effective is that their nature or structure reflects what already exists in our mind. Our identity or who we think we are, our current thinking patterns, are also a series of affirmations, composed fundamentally of mere words or language. Everything we think, all of the thoughts that we have, are merely affirmations. Positive affirmations, when used consistently, begin to alter our prevalent internal language pattern, as negative as it may be, our inner self talk or dialogue that exists within us. The end result of the consistent use of positive affirmations is the transformation of an inner negative language pattern into one that is positive in nature
The most effective way to use positive affirmations is with the individual’s own voice. While a person can have a beneficial result from listening to a commercially developed product that employs positive affirmations recorded by another, the transformative power of this technology is enhanced or strengthened by the positive messages being delivered in the person’s own voice. By using a person’s own voice to transform the inner dialogue, there is less resistance to the transformational process due to the fact that the voice itself is the same or identical. It is as though the negative voice or language pattern that one hears repeatedly in life is altered or transformed by the consistent exposure and listening to that same voice but with the structure of positive enhancing affirmations. Eventually the structure will transform from one that is negative to one that is positive in nature.
The process of using ones own voice in doing work with positive affirmations can be strengthened with the use of therapeutic relaxation music. While the use of ones own voice is very powerful for creating change in a person’s life, the use of specially designed therapeutic relaxation music assists in creating the audio space for this process to be very powerful. We tend to be more open or suggestible to positive affirmations or language when we are in a state of relaxation. When combined with binaural audio tones the relaxing affect of the therapeutic relaxation music is greatly enhanced. When used with the combined effect of the therapeutic relaxation music and binaural audio tones and consistently, the positive enhancing affirmations that are delivered will have such a profound affect upon improving and transforming a person’s internal, self-talk and eventually his self-esteem.
The technology of utilizing positive affirmations that are recorded in a person’s own voice and therapeutic relaxation music is currently being employed in the treatment of those suffering from substance dependency problems. At the Holistic Addiction Treatment Program in North Miami Beach, Florida, clients are given access to this powerful technology. Clients have the ability to create personal affirmations that empower them and support their recovery and also are able to record these affirmations. The recorded positive affirmations are then mixed with specially designed therapeutic relaxation music to create a powerful audio product to assist the individual in his recovery. Once created the client is trained in the most effective manner in which to utilize their personal CD as part of their overall recovery plan. Those clients who utilize this powerful technology tend to improve their self- esteem, stay in recovery and improve the quality of their life in general. When a person feels and thinks more positively about himself he tends to be more positive towards everything that he is taking on in his life, including and most importantly his recovery.

What are Dreams Made From?
at 1:02 am on Friday, 13 June 2008
Many desire a better life but only those who take action and make preparations fulfill their dreams. Often goals are too general, without specific times and methods determined. You must have details set for small steps leading to the completion of the goal. This article may be published if the resource box is left intact.
What are dreams made from? They may aspire to reach the stars, but they originate in the desires and longings of the heart. Whether it is a business of your own, an exciting high paying job, or something even more exotic, dreams come from the imaginations of the mind.
Dreams often result from being fed up with boring dead end jobs. They come from a spark within you that lures you to exciting adventures of your imagination. What you can conceive in the mind, you can do. It takes desire, faith, courage, and you have to be stubborn enough to refuse to give up, but you can have a better life.
Some would say, that is not real, it is imagination. May I remind you that your imagination is very real? It determines much of your personality. If you imagine that bad things will happen, you are a pessimist. If you imagine you can set the world on fire, you are an optimist. Dare to enter the magical world of dreams, and be thrilled at the possibilities? Explore the deep down longings in your heart. You can live your passion if you make preparations.
When does a daydream become reality? Although it may take some time to develop, it starts to take reality when a plan is conceived and implemented. We are creatures of habit. Everyone has a routine they go through. Could a poor man learn the routine of a millionaire and become one? Possibly, but it would take time. Rich people use their money to make more money. You would have to acquire the money and learn how to invest it. There are a few instances where someone happens to find the right procedure, and is at the right place at the right time and becomes instantly rich, but they are few and far between.
One can find many who are selling get rich quick schemes. Most of them are not effective except to fatten the bank account of the seller. Trying to become rich quickly is a recipe for disaster. If you did get lucky and accomplish that feat, you probably would not know how to handle your money and would lose it. You need to work into it gradually and learn how to manage a small amount before tackling a large responsibility and amount of money.
The key to a successful goal is in developing a simple routine that is easily performed and stuck with. Set a time for completion with small steps leading to it. If you plan to start a business, you will need to find an affordable way of publicizing it. Merchandise must be sold, books kept, and many other tasks that must be performed on a daily basis. It all must be effective. You must have a procedure that gets everything done, at a pace that will not leave you exhausted before the day is over.
Routines, will vary according to the goal, but whatever is chosen should fit your life style. Before deciding on a goal, you must consider what will be required to accomplish it, and if can be done without causing excessive worries and frustrations. Everyone has their own comfort level, and going beyond it could cause excessive strain.
This is why a good education is so effective. Getting a degree means more than a piece of paper hung on the wall. The courses you take, teach you how to get things done, when, they must be done. That gives you the background for any goal that you have. If your goal is first to get an education, remember to set up a study routine that will be effective. When you prove to yourself that you can handle this responsibility, you will have confidence to start your career.
The author of this article also wrote the book, “Climbing the Heavenly Stairs.” If you set your mind on things above, you see beyond your problems. Learn how to bask in the peace that passes understanding. Become spiritually mature and live life to the full. See what Jesus said about doing seemingly impossible things.
