Bush refuses to back down

Never known to back down from a fight, President
Bush is again demonstrating that same non-compromising stubbornness
in the John Bolton U.N. appointment fight.

All of this, even though some conservative senators don’t like Bolton
and along side the democrats, refuse to end the filibuster until the
Bush administration releases some secret documents. When asked what it
would take to end the filibuster, Trent Lott said “…simply for the
White House to release the documents requested.”

What is in these documents that makes the Bush administration so reluctant to release them?

Yesterday, White House spokesman Scott McClellan claimed that they have
released all of the information THAT THE SENATE REQUIRES.

“We’ve continued to make a good-faith effort. The Democrats clearly aren’t interested in more information,” McClellan said.

Hey
tool, that wasn’t the question. It isn’t up to you to decide what
is and what is not enough information. Not to mention, you have not supplied all of the requested information. Liar.

Turns out, President Bush may place Bolton as a recess
appointment, even though that would severely undermined the U.S.’s
position in the U.N. and further polarize the Senate. (Washington Post) Doesn’t matter, it’s what Karl, Dick and George want… damn what’s good for the country.

This unmitigated arrogance that President Bush continues to exhibit,
even in the light of obviously being wrong, should be a deep concern to every American.

Drospirenone is just one of the causes attributed to the onslaught of Yaz side effects reported regularly in America. Drospirenone is an ingredient allegedly unlike other progestins in the United States and was not found in America before appeared in Yasmin, Yaz and Ocella. Add in the fact that the FDA issued advisory to the makers of Ocella, Yasmin and Yaz for using low-quality batches of drospirenone from Germany and you have the makings of a cautionary tale involving Big Pharma and its disregard for the wellbeing of the individuals using its pharmaceuticals.

There are already numerous lawsuits filed in various counties across the U.S. against the contraceptive maker. This number is expected to reach 1,000. Any of those effected by Yaz, Yasmin, and Ocella can fill out the form at thelegaladvocate.com to have an attorney review their info in order to be provided with answers and eventually legal representation.

Little know birth control side effects such as Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis and even death have also been reported as a result of using Ocella, Yasmin and Yaz. With the clinical studies available on the internet, it is more essential than ever to arm yourself with knowledge before resolving if a pharaceutical is right for you. Something as ever-present as ‘the pill’ can cause serious damage or even kill you if you are not mindful.

The Guide — Volunteering Your Time

Volunteering — coming together as a community, and supporting your local needy. Of course, freeing up the time to volunteer can consume some of that valuable free time. And volunteering is more fun with your friends from work pitching in right along with you!

This is a call, then, for companies to follow the lead of firms like Adaptive Marketing LLC. In addition to financial and shopping benefits programs such as Your Savings Club made for the benefit of consumers, Adaptive Marketing organizes local volunteer activity to give its employees the time to help the local community.

If you were asked for examples of company-backed volunteer work, you’d most likely talk in terms of giving blood, perhaps a Christmas donation drive, and no more, but that’s no longer true in today’s world. Looking at just one company, Adaptive Marketing has provided its staff with chances to take part in everything from running shoe recycling campaigns to local tree planting events. Once all the pertinent information — time, date, location, type, et cetera — had been posted in advance it became very simple for staff to set aside the time they’d volunteer and how they’d be using it.

It is important to let volunteers choose projects according to their own interests. At Adaptive Marketing, the firm bringing you Your Savings Club, staff can pick and choose from a wide variety of projects in the local area. You’ll find there’s so much to be done; getting involved in the entertainment and education of young adults, lending a hand to environmental activities, or bolstering the community through arts and culture to name just a few. In many cases, the more they enjoy it, the more productive they are, and as a result by providing so many programs Adaptive Marketing can be certain that progress will be made in a great many areas. Typically a company supported volunteer program — fundraising with a homeless shelter or helping out at a local school — is done either as a one-off event or on a regular schedule designed to achieve a bigger goal. Members of staff may well submit that they have no time to give, but usually even they can often find enough resources to lend a hand with one instalment of a long-term project. It is hardly an unusual practice for business firms to help out the people of their hometown. Community goodwill builds from the volunteer participation of Adaptive Marketing’s staff, and the staff of companies like it, through these company-sponsored projects. The simple fact is, one of the benefits of volunteer work is a sense of generosity and accomplishment — an upbeat feeling that influences the entire company. It’s our hope that by now the positives for everyone involved of a company-sponsored volunteer drive are should be self-evident for everyone.
